How do I start designing a website?
Conceptualization is the process by which we create a general concept of the website. We start by understanding what you want and what your website should look like. Also, we study what kind of design will be attractive as well as compelling to your customers or visitors. Then, we conceptualize a design and give it a graphic design in the form of a mock-up sample. We then get feedback from you to make sure that we have the right concept and further discuss the design.

Each design should start with an understanding of your unique needs and the needs of your clients. We help you decide on a website design concept and prepare a sample. After reviewing a sample and discussing the details with you we create the layout of all of your pages. We then convert the layout into an actual webpage and implement any required programming code. Next we validate the webpages to ensure that the code has no errors and is compliant with W3C's standards. W3C is an international organization that coordinates and supervises website standards. We review the website with you again and once the website is completed we will install it on your server. We also provide a one-month maintenance period. During this time we provide free changes and updates.

In general, website cost is proportional to the quantity of work we need to do in order to create it. A very basic website with few graphics and up to 5 pages might cost 50.000 yen, while 20 page top-notch bilingual website including custom graphics might cost as much as 500.000 yen. A Japanese e-commerce website with a back-office CMS system and a shopping cart will also cost about 500.000 yen.

We will translate your website into Japanese, English, and other languages or build a multilingual website. It is also possible to build pages with translated text if you have it already prepared. One page of a multilingual website costs about 10.000 yen, including translation costs and code localization.

For projects that cost up to 500.000 yen the payment is divided into two parts. Half of the payment needs to be paid upfront and the remaining half is paid once the website is completed. For projects with a total cost over 500.000 yen the payment times are based on milestones.

Yes. for all of the websites that we design, we provide free-of-charge support for the first month after the website is completed. After that time we provide support and maintenance based on a monthly fee basis. The cost depends on the amount of work. A basic maintenance package consists of monitoring to make sure the website is live and doing minor updates. This package can start from 5.000 yen per month. For a website with a higher number of pages and regular updates to the content, the cost can be in the range of 30.000 to 50.000 yen.
